Jetpack 10.8: Share your posts more easily with QR codes

This month, we’re excited to announce a new QR Post feature that automatically generates QR codes for your published posts. This means more flexibility on how you can share your posts and spread the word.

In addition, we added Openverse as a media provider so that you can benefit from openly-licensed images in your posts.

Generate QR codes for your posts

QR Post is a new Jetpack feature that automatically generates QR codes for your published posts. When it is scanned, the QR code will link visitors to your post. It’s a great way to share a path to your site out in the real world.

You can download the QR code as a png file to reuse

Browse through over 600 million media items to reuse

Openverse is a search engine for openly-licensed media that we’ve added as an external media provider. This will allow you to search Openverse for images you’d like to use right from the post editor! Just add an Image or Gallery Block and click Select image(s) to get started.
