Jetpack 10.5: New features and under-the-hood improvements

The new year comes with a shiny new Jetpack. This month, we’re shipping new features for VideoPress, as well as other under-the-hood improvements and bug fixes to create a better Jetpack experience for you and your site.

More flexibility with your video content

From now on, you have the option to make your VideoPress videos downloadable for your visitors, giving you a greater degree of flexibility and control over your video content.

Once you enable the download option, your visitors will be directed to the original file when they want to download your VideoPress content.

Additionally, your Classic Block embeds with old flash URLs can now be properly converted to VideoPress blocks.

Under-the-hood improvements

This release also includes many style enhancements and compatibility improvements — check the changelog for more details. To use the latest version of Jetpack on your site, update your existing installation or install Jetpack.
